This article discusses the features of the organization and implementation of combat training for the variable personnel of the training fire and rescue unit of the Siberian Fire and Rescue Academy of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, as an essential component of the educational process in the formation of practical skills and professional competencies necessary for solving combat tasks in conducting emergency rescue operations related to firefighting. The key objectives in the organization of training and practical experience for students enrolled in higher and secondary vocational education programs have been studied and presented. The need for methodological support of the educational process, as well as for maintaining the training and material and technical base of the UPSCh in constant combat readiness, has been noted The main areas of practical training for students have been identified based on the educational and methodological plans. The existing problems in the organization of the educational process have been identified. The team of the training fire and rescue unit has proposed ways to improve the combat training system, taking into account the current regulatory framework and the actual conditions of using equipment and facilities. The results of this analysis will help to increase the level of professional competencies and improve the quality of professional training for future specialists in fire and technosphere safety
