Abstract:
The article presents the results of studies of changes in the magnetic properties of screws and self-tapping screws as a result of thermal exposure. As a result of the fire, combustible materials are destroyed, and with developed fires, signs of a fire source in the form of thermal damage to structures that can be visually observed are leveled. However, various kinds of fasteners remain after a fire and change their physical properties, including magnetic ones. There are various types of fasteners, both in shape and material, and according to the principle of production in the form of heat treatment to increase hardness and strength. Thus, the study of fasteners is of practical and scientific interest for the purposeof fire-technical expertise to establish the source of the fire and the ways of its spread.
