To ensure the safety of personnel of fire departments involved in the elimination of large forest fires, work is underway to create a mobile means of protecting people from the thermal effects of fire. In the process of developing this means of protection, there was a need for scientific justification of the sequence of stages of research on the choice of its design parameters, which was realized through the use of the hierarchy analysis method. The resulting sequence of steps allows you to reduce the financial costs of purchasing and manufacturing experimental samples and equipment, as well as reduce the time spent on preparing and performing research
