PHYSICAL TRAINING OF FIREFIGHTERS, DEFINITION OF AN APPROACH TO OPTIMIZATION (MECHANIZATION) OF CERTAIN TYPES OF WORK DURING FIRE EXTINGUISHING
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
Each person has his or her own physical abilities and varying degrees of endurance. When performing tasks related to rescuing people in case of fires, transporting victims, working with laying trunk hose lines, working with a trunk, with high water consumption, a sufficient level of physical fitness is required, despite the fact that such work on a fire can take a long period. A firefighter, under the influence of dangerous factors in a fire (this includes loss of visibility in smoke, elevated ambient temperature, open flames, low oxygen concentration in the air, abnormally low ambient temperatures in the winter season, and many other aspects) spends his strength many times faster than under other conditions and types of work, fatigue is making itself felt. In addition, the psychological state has a significant impact on the condition of a firefighter, and in cases of mass deaths in fires, sometimes a state of shock. All of the above factors directly affect the physical capabilities of the firefighter and the fire protection unit as a whole, their actions to localize and eliminate fires. To restore physical capabilities, additional rest time and good nutrition are required, but of course, this cannot be done in fire conditions. The publication analyzes the issues of physical exertion, methods for determining the physical performance of a firefighter, as well as increasing the capabilities of firefighters using modern mechanized means that reduce physical exertion types of work on fires
