This article examines a pressing issue arising from the growing need to improve the effectiveness of fire protection systems in buildings with large numbers of people. Existing traditional public address and evacuation control systems (PECS) demonstrate insufficient adaptability and reliability in real-life fire conditions, as evidenced by fatality statistics in emergency situations. The introduction of innovative fire safety technologies is becoming increasingly important due to the increasing number of multifunctional complexes and facilities with large numbers of people, the need to ensure safe evacuation in dynamically changing fire conditions, the need for systems with increased adaptability and fault tolerance, and the importance of minimizing the human factor in emergency decision-making. The development and implementation of adaptive PECS based on Ariadne's Thread technology represents a promising approach capable of significantly improving the level of fire safety at facilities and the effectiveness of the evacuation process. The article analyzes the effectiveness of this technology in comparison with traditional methods of automatic evacuation control. Particular attention is paid to the practical aspects of system implementation, its technical characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages. The purpose of the study is to comprehensively evaluate the effectiveness of a public address and evacuation management system based on the innovative «Ariadne's Thread» technology in buildings with large numbers of people, as well as to determine the potential for its implementation to improve the fire safety of facilities. Research methods include a system analysis of existing public address and evacuation management systems using methods for comparative evaluation of technical characteristics and operational parameters, expert assessments by fire safety specialists regarding the potential for implementing and operating the new technology, and a comparative analysis of the performance indicators of traditional and innovative public address and evacuation management systems
