The article considers one of the types of natural emergencies - snow avalanches. The causes of emergencies, the main dangerous areas on the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the statistics are defined and analyzed in the article. The active and passive measures consist of the construction of anti-avalanche structures and other measures to prevent avalanches. The necessity to improve the system of monitoring, forecasting and prevention of avalanches is an urgent issue for cooperation between EMERCOM of Russia and municipal divisions of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
