ABOUT THE HEIGHT OF THE FL AME TORCH WHEN BURNING SOLID COMBUSTIBLE SUBSTANCES AND MATERIALS
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The paper refl ects the infl uence of various factors on the height of the fl ame of solid combustible substances and materials, as well as the need to develop a method for determining this geometric parameter. Existing combustion methods for determining the geometric parameters of fi res objectively refl ect only the combustion process of combustible gases and liquids, since the height of the fl ame of such fi res depends on the characteristic size of the fi re source and the rate of entry of the combustible component in the reaction zone of combustion, which remain relatively constant over a long time. Combustion process of solid substances and materials is more complex and multi-faceted, so that the specifi c mass burn-up rate, and, accordingly, the height of the fl ame of such substances are not constant and depend on many additional factors.

Keywords:
height of the fl ame, open fi res, solid substances and materials, the mass rate of burning out
