Abstract:
The article describes the results of research related to the formulation and search for ways to solve the problem of eliminating the significant uncertainty of the hydraulic characteristics of new fire hoses entering the units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The order of scatteringof reference data of hydraulic parameters of fire hoses given in official sources is estimated. It is shown that the lack of accurate data does not allow to effectively use the calculation models of pump-hose systems developed at the Academy. To get out of the situation, it is proposed to create an "Experimental research installation for measuring the thermohydraulic characteristics of the elements of the water supply path to the fire site"
