Abstract:
The article examines emergency situations (emergencies) on the territory of the Baikal region, which includes: Irkutsk region, the Republic of Buryatia. The subject of the study is emergencies classified according to three main areas of origin (natural, man-made, biological and social). The purpose of the work is a comparative analysis and assessment of the public danger of emergencies for the population and territories of the Irkutsk region, the Republic of Buryatia. The factological basis of the study was the statistics of the consequences of emergencies in the subjects of the Russian Federation of the Baikal region for 2010-2020. Based on the existing methodological approach, an assessment of the risk of the types of sources of emergency, as well as the individual risk of loss of life in the Irkutsk region, the Republic of Buryatia is given. The obtained research results allow the departments of the EMERCOM of Russia of the relevant subjects to develop management solutions aimed at reducing the consequences of an emergency
