Previously conducted studies [1] allowed us to approximately assume the nature of the behavior of new composite materials under the influence of heat flow and elevated temperature. As the results showed, the samples of the materials considered are combustible and in fire conditions can become a source of additional danger if they are placed on evacuation routes. In order to reduce the level of flammability, Concept Tree LLC has modified the composition of its products by adding sodium tetraborate (borax) to one of the composites. This work is devoted to the assessment of fire-hazardous properties and the establishment of a fire hazard class of a modified composite material, according to standard GOST methods and thermoanalytical studies. The effect of reducing the level of fire hazard of the material is recorded. The fire hazard class of the sample and the scope of its application in residential buildings have been established
