The effectiveness of the exhaust smoke ventilation system was assessed when the smoke intake device is located below the upper level of the doorway. The simulation of the spread of fire hazards based on the field method and the simulation of the evacuation of people from the building based on the individual flow method were carried out. A methodology for evaluating the efficiency of the exhaust smoke ventilation system has been developed
