The article considers the issue of developing and testing a model of professional adaptation of cadets and young specialists in institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia. When organizing the process of professional adaptation at the level of universities of the Ministry of Emergencies, it is necessary to intensify the educational and professional activities of cadets in the educational process; creating conditions for the formation of professionally significant characteristics (special knowledge and personal qualities) of students, including a special organizational culture at the university, conducting focused educational work, developing methodological support for the adaptation process for all stages of training and postgraduate education. Maintenance of the model and control over its testing should be carried out by the design team, which includes employees of the department of educational work, psychological support and personnel.
